Terms of use
These terms govern the use of EasyQLab, the quality-control service for translated documents, by companies and the people who work for them.
Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms of use (the "Terms") are an agreement between EasyQLab and the organization that uses the Service. By creating an account, signing in or using the Service, you accept these Terms on behalf of your organization, and you confirm that you are authorized to do so. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service.
If your organization has signed a separate written agreement with EasyQLab, that agreement prevails over these Terms where the two differ.
2. Definitions
- EasyQLab, "we", "us"
- The provider of the Service.
- Service
- The EasyQLab web application at app.easyqlab.com, its analysis, reports and exports, and the documentation published on easyqlab.com.
- Customer, "you"
- The organization that holds an account with the Service.
- User
- A person who signs in to the Service under the Customer's account.
- Customer Content
- The files, texts, glossaries, client lists, comments and other material that the Customer or its Users upload to or create in the Service.
- Results
- What the Service produces from the Customer Content: findings, verdicts, annotated PDFs, CSV files, summaries and answers.
3. Accounts and access
- Each User signs in with their own credentials. Keep them confidential and don't share an account between people.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the Users you give access to. Tell us without delay if you suspect that an account has been used without permission.
- The information you give us when you create an account must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
- Every project, file and setting is tied to your organization. All Users of an organization can see its projects, files and settings.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload material that you don't have the right to process, or that breaks the law;
- try to access other organizations' data, or to bypass the Service's access controls, limits or billing;
- probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its operation, without our written permission;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- send automated traffic to the Service other than through the means we provide;
- upload malware or files designed to harm the Service or other users.
We may suspend access that puts the Service, its users or third parties at risk, as described in section 14.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to your files. Customer Content belongs to you or to your clients. These Terms don't transfer any ownership of it to EasyQLab.
You give EasyQLab a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy and process Customer Content only as needed to provide the Service to you: to analyze it, show it on screen, produce the Results and give you support when you ask for it. This permission ends when the content is deleted from the Service.
The Results produced from your content are yours to use as you wish.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload the Customer Content and to have it processed in this way, including under any agreement with your own clients.
We don't use Customer Content in our marketing, and we don't name your clients or show their documents without your written permission.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, checks, design, documentation and brand belong to EasyQLab. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription, for your organization's internal business purposes and under these Terms. No other right is granted.
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
7. The results
EasyQLab is a quality-control aid. It compares the translations with the original and points out likely problems, with a severity and a confidence. It can miss problems and it can flag things that are not errors. It doesn't judge style or tone.
You and your reviewers remain responsible for deciding what is an error, for the corrections and for the documents you deliver to your clients.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and to fix problems quickly, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may need to interrupt it for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
The Service evolves. We may add, change or remove checks and features, and we may change the technology the analysis relies on, including the AI models it uses. If a change removes a feature you rely on in a significant way, we'll let you know in advance when we reasonably can.
9. Fees and payment
Fees, billing units and payment terms are according to the plan agreed with EasyQLab. The Billing screen of the Service shows the usage recorded for your organization, such as the characters processed. Billed usage remains on record even if the project it came from is deleted.
10. Confidentiality
Each party may receive non-public information from the other, including Customer Content in the case of EasyQLab. Each party will use the other's confidential information only to perform under these Terms, protect it with at least reasonable care, and share it only with the people and service providers who need it for that purpose and are bound by similar obligations.
These obligations don't apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of the receiving party, that the receiving party already had or develops on its own, or that it must disclose by law (in which case it will give notice where the law allows).
11. Service providers
We run the Service with the help of cloud hosting and database providers, and AI model providers that process text and page images to produce the analysis. They process Customer Content on our behalf and only to provide the Service. Our Privacy policy explains this in more detail.
12. Disclaimer
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service and the Results are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, EasyQLab disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or business, even if it was told they were possible;
- EasyQLab's total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees the Customer paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your projects, and their files, from the Service yourself.
- We may suspend or end access to the Service if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if you don't pay the agreed fees, or if continuing would put the Service, its users or third parties at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the issue.
- When access ends, the rights granted to you under these Terms end. Sections 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13 and 15 continue to apply.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and any dispute arising out of them will be brought before the courts of [jurisdiction].
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in advance by email or in the Service. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
